The Opportunity

01

Executive Summary

Premier Sports Leagues (PSL) organizes recreational multi-sport club leagues, tournaments and custom sports programs in communities across North America. We help people DISCOVER, LEARN and EXPERIENCE low-profile, emerging global sports.

Operating through a proven franchise model, PSL is positioned to capture a significant share of the $77.6 billion North American youth sports market — projected to exceed $113 billion globally by 2033, growing at ~10% annually — while solving the systemic failures that have plagued organized youth sports for decades.

The opportunity is clear: a massive, growing market, a broken incumbent model, and a tested franchise system that delivers real returns for operators while creating transformative outcomes for children and communities.

"We provide all youth a memorable sports experience that will teach them skills and help them acquire the abilities to become better equipped for life and build healthier communities."
Mission

Reach 1 million kids through strong partnerships and provide all the resources, tools and training so youth can EXPERIENCE new sports in a safe, inclusive and respectful playing environment.

Vision

To become the leading franchise-based multi-sport organization in North America, making quality sports accessible and affordable to all communities.

Purpose

We provide all youth a memorable sports experience that will teach them skills and help them acquire the abilities to become better equipped for life and build healthier communities.

Goal

Bringing kids together from various communities to discover, learn & play new sports. We continuously encourage all kids to COMPETE, GROW and have FUN.

At its projected $77.6B by 2026, it surpasses the NFL — and the global market is on track to exceed $113B by 2033, growing at ~10% annually. PSL franchisees are entering at the ground floor of this trajectory — in a category with no established national franchise competitor.

The Problem

04

The Current Landscape

Three existing models — each with critical limitations — and how PSL synthesizes the best of all three.

Community Based Volunteer

Volunteer-staffed, not-for-profit, membership-owned. Inconsistent operational systems, no growth strategy, and moderate sustainability.

Private Independents

Privately owned, for-profit, owner-operated. Moderate quality but no scalable systems, limited marketing, and low sustainability.

Amateur / Pro Sport Leagues

Corporation-owned, full-time staffed, well-defined systems. Premium quality but very high investment barrier with elite-focused, exclusive reach.

The Broken Landscape

Seven industry-wide systemic failures in the organized youth sports landscape — and exactly how PSL solves each one.

These are not operator-level mistakes — they are systemic failures embedded in the structure of the youth sports industry itself. Each is paired with a specific, structural PSL response: a design decision built into the franchise model that turns the industry's deepest problems into its core competitive advantages.

The Problem in Detail

The entire youth sports industry is structured around short-term competitive outcomes rather than long-term development. Tournaments, rankings, and selection pathways dominate the landscape — the system itself incentivizes winning over growth, and children disengage by their teens as a result.

How PSL Solves It

Every PSL program is designed around Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles. Coaches are trained to prioritize skill acquisition, enjoyment, and personal growth over scoreboards — especially in the crucial early years.

A Broken Model

How existing community league operators deliver youth sports today — the specific operational shortcomings of the current league model.

01

Short-Term Results Over Development

League operators structure seasons around wins and standings, not long-term athlete development — engraining bad habits early.

02

Adult-Centered Programming

Operators design schedules, formats, and expectations around adult priorities — convenience, rankings, scholarships — not child enjoyment.

03

Unaccountable League Leadership

League operators and volunteer boards face no contractual accountability for unethical, irresponsible, or harmful actions within their programs.

04

Patchwork Safety Practices

Operators apply safe sport policies inconsistently — each league interprets and enforces procedures differently, leaving gaps in athlete protection.

05

Values Left to Happenstance

Operators do not intentionally integrate positive values or character development into programs — culture shifts depending on who is running the league that year.

How Leagues Operate Today

OPERATOR SHORTCOMINGS

  • Leagues run on volunteer availability with no operational standards or systems in place
  • Operators lack standardized curricula — program quality depends entirely on who shows up
  • No franchise or national standards governing how community leagues are operated
  • Coaching quality varies wildly from league to league with no baseline training requirements
  • Operators have no financial stake, so investment in improvement, equipment, or training is sporadic
What Happens When Operators Fail

THE CONSEQUENCES

  • Inconsistent quality from one community league to the next — no two seasons are alike
  • Programs collapse when key volunteers leave, with no operational continuity
  • Parents frustrated by unpredictable, unstructured experiences season after season
  • No recourse or accountability when operators deliver poor or harmful experiences
  • Quality lives and dies with individual personalities rather than proven systems
  • Promising talent and eager participants lost to poorly run programs

WHAT THE ADVOCATES SAY

"It (youth sports industry) ought to be disrupted, because it seems there's a huge unmet need out there"

— David Drummond, Google Executive

"We need to remove barriers to participation and performance and help make our systems more effective"

— Sport for Life

"It's critical that all kids have the opportunity to find and play sports they love and having fun doing it"

— Aspen Institute Sports & Society

"If we are going to ensure that all kids have the chance to grow up fit and strong, we must, among other efforts, eliminate the barriers to sports participation"

— Tom Farrey, Aspen Institute Sports & Society

What Kids Actually Want

Research reveals that fun is the #1 reason children participate in sports — and winning barely registers.

9/10
Children say "FUN" is the main reason they play sports

2014 George Washington University — Published in Aspen Institute Project Play Report

When asked to define fun, children offered 81 reasons. The data reveals that kids value social bonds, effort, respect, and access to play far above competitive outcomes.

Winning ranked #48. This is a profound insight that the current organized youth sports model has largely ignored — prioritizing adult-driven competitive agendas over what children actually want and need.

PSL designs every program around the 81 reasons kids have fun — not just the trophy at the end.

MORE FUN — What Kids Prioritize

3.Getting Playing Time
4.Playing Well Together As A Team
5.Getting Along With Your Teammates
6.Exercising And Being Active

08

The Need for Change

Five systemic failures plaguing the current organized youth sports landscape.

Lack of Accountability or Responsibility from Leadership

1

High Turnover in Leader Roles

Inconsistency in Delivery & Quality of Sports Services

2

Outdated Training and Seldom Monitoring / Evaluating

Culture is Sporadic: Prone to Sway Depending on the Existing Leaders

3

Little if Any Innovation in Youth Development

Limited Financial Resources to Improve

4

Lack of Collaboration Among Peers

THE RESULT OF INACTION

These systemic failures create a cycle of declining participation, diminishing quality, and growing inequity. Without a new model, the youth sports landscape will continue to fail the very children it exists to serve. The consequences extend beyond the field — affecting community health, academic performance, and social cohesion for generations.

LinkedIn Profile
FOUNDER BIOGRAPHY

Anthony Mac Neil is a seasoned entrepreneur, franchise operator, and sports leader with over 35 years of business experience spanning franchise development, sales operations, real estate, and consulting. He is the driving force behind Premier Sports Leagues, combining a lifelong passion for sport with a proven track record of building scalable business systems.

As the inaugural franchisee of Sears Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in Canada, Anthony built a franchise from the ground up — growing it from $250,000 to $3 million in annual revenue and expanding across four territories. That experience of building franchise systems, managing operations at scale, and driving sustainable growth is the blueprint for PSL's franchise model today.

In parallel, Anthony has dedicated over a decade to building floorball infrastructure in Canada — founding Floorball Nova Scotia, serving on the Floorball Canada board of directors, and helping establish the national coaching and club systems that PSL now draws upon. He understands both the business of sport and the sport of business.

THE FLAGSHIP
SPORTS DOME

Step one of building Premier Sports Leagues: a single, year-round home for multi-sport programming.

Before PSL becomes a national franchise network, it becomes a building the community can walk into. The first step is the flagship Premier Sports Dome — a purpose-built, climate-controlled facility that operates year round and brings multi-sport programs together under one roof.

This is the model in physical form: a community sports hub that proves the concept in real conditions, in a real market, with real families — and creates the operating template every future PSL location will follow.

Year-Round Operation

Weather is no longer the schedule. The dome removes seasonality — leagues, camps, tournaments and training run twelve months a year, stabilizing both participation and revenue.

Multi-Sport by Design

One surface, many low profile, easy to learn & play sports for everyone, like: floorball, futsal, flag football, wiffle ball, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, dodgeball etc.

Built for Community

Affordable registration, no travel requirements, and partnerships with schools, minor sports associations and community groups where friends and families can play together and have FUN.

Proof Before Scale

The flagship Sports Dome is the living case study that generates the real operating data, coaching systems and financial track record that every future PSL franchise operator can strive to reach.

PREMIER SPORTS DOME — BUILD-OUT FINANCING

DOME CONSTRUCTION
INVESTMENT & FINANCING

A dedicated Premier Sports Dome represents a significant capital investment beyond the standard franchise setup. The estimated build-out cost of $750,000 is reflected in the PSL Proforma. Franchisees are not required to invest the full amount upfront — a minimum 25% down payment ($187,500) is required, with the balance financed through a commercial mortgage. Monthly mortgage payments are incorporated into the facility/operating expense line of the financial projections.

Loan Approval Required

Prospective franchisees must be approved for commercial financing to construct their Premier Sports Dome. Loan approval is subject to credit qualification, business plan review, and lender requirements. PSL provides support with financing documentation and lender introductions, but cannot guarantee loan approval. Franchisees should consult with their financial advisor and lending institution before proceeding.

15

THE FUTURE OF
PREMIER SPORTS

The flagship dome is the proof. Franchising is the growth engine that turns one successful facility into a national system.

The future of Premier Sports Leagues is not a single building — it is a franchised network. The flagship Premier Sports Dome exists to prove the business model in the real world: real families, real registrations, real revenue, real coaching standards.

Once that model is validated, PSL shifts from building a facility to replicating a business. Franchise partners bring local ownership and community relationships; the franchisor brings the proven playbook, brand, training and technology. The result is a business that grows through replication rather than capital-intensive expansion.

THE BUSINESS MODEL AT SCALE

FROM ONE DOME
TO A NATIONAL SYSTEM

Proven Model, Repeatable Playbook

Once the flagship Premier Sports Dome is operating and profitable, PSL is no longer selling a concept — it is handing over validated unit economics, curricula, schedules and coaching systems that have already worked in a real market.

Recurring Royalty Revenue

The franchisor business is built on a recurring royalty stream from every location. Because programs run in seasonal registration cycles, revenue recurs year after year instead of being tied to one-time transactions.

Asset-Light National Growth

PSL does not need to finance every facility. Franchise partners invest in their own community footprint, while the franchisor scales the brand, systems and support network — growth without carrying the capital cost of each site.

National Brand & Sponsorship Leverage

As the network grows, so does negotiating power: national sponsorships, equipment partnerships, and media relationships that a single community operator could never access become available to every franchisee.

Systems & Technology at Scale

Registration, scheduling, facility bookings, coach training and reporting run on one shared platform — with performance benchmarked across the network so strong markets lift the standards of every location.

A Platform for What Comes Next

A proven, multi-sport operating system is a platform: new sports, new program formats, tournament circuits, camps, corporate and school partnerships — and eventually North American expansion.

WHY INVEST IN PSL

SIX COMPELLING
REASONS TO INVEST IN PSL

Explosive Market Growth

The youth sports market is growing at ~10% annually. A proven $19B industry projected to reach $77.6B by 2026 — with the global market on track to exceed $113B by 2033. PSL is positioned at the frontier.

Pre-Revenue Cash Flow

Registrations are collected in advance. No inventory, no expensive retail lease required. Cash flow positive from day one of operations.

Low-Risk Franchise Model

Service orientated business in need for a new model. Franchisees receive full training, proven systems, marketing tools, and ongoing support from the franchisor.

Massive Unmet Demand

33% of children don't play sports due to cost barriers. PSL's affordable, accessible model unlocks a massive underserved segment of the market.

First-Mover Advantage

Low-profile, lesser known global recreational sports (floorball, futsal, flag football, wiffle ball etc.) have no established franchise platform. PSL intends to own this category.

Proven Community Impact

Years of successful programming across communities with endorsements from NHL champions, educators, and school boards. The model is validated.

Chapter 05

Community Impact & Voices

16

Community Impact

PSL is more than a sports franchise — it's a public health and social equity initiative wrapped in an exceptional business model.

SPORT AS A
SOCIAL FORCE

Premier Sports Leagues was built on a simple but radical premise: every child deserves access to organized sport, regardless of postal code, income level, or physical ability. Our franchise model isn't just financially sound — it's structurally committed to health, safety, and inclusion.
